The 2nd Annual IPFW Open Presented by Turnstone went very well. We had more participates and a larger purse ($1,500) then last year along with perfect tennis weather. Special thanks goes out to Eric Burns (IPFW Tennis Coach) along with Tina Acosta and Andrew Achenbach from Turnstone who all did a great job running this tournament from start to finish. Also can’t thank enough Dr. Rudy & Rhonda Kachmann for their continue support with wheelchair tennis in Fort Wayne, IN.

It’s been awhile… Here’s the latest on Turnstone Flyers Power Soccer teams: Both the Fearless & Fantastic Flyers qualified for the USPSA National Tournament which will be held in Indianapolis June 19-21, 2009.
Here’s how they qualified… The top three teams from the Eastern, Midwest, and Western Division Regionals receive automatic bids in both Division 1 and Division 2. The tenth team in each division was selected by the Tournament Selection Committee (TSC) and Executive Committee (EC) based on teams who competed in their regional tournament and their overall record including regionals.
The Turnstone Fearless Flyers took second at the Midwest Regionals in Monticello, MN (March 21-22, 2009) and currently have a 16-1 record with their only loss to the Courage Thunder. Both the Fearless Flyers and Courage Thunder are averaging 5.5 goals per game while allowing only .4 goals against per game. In the head-to-head match up the Thunder defeated Fearless 2-0.
Former Flyer Ket Romey is on the far left. Picture from http://www.hometeamsonline.com/photos/soccer/POWERSOCCERUSA-1/homepic1.jpg
