Fort Wayne Power Soccer Players & Equipment Manager Video

For those of you who missed it… last Friday, July 10, 2009 Wane-TV in Fort Wayne, IN featured a video segment from Dick Wolfsie at WISH-TV in Indianapolis that went behind the scene of Fort Wayne natives Mark Berron from Hamilton’s Health Aid Services, Tiffany Shoda from the Turnstone Fantastic Flyers, and Greg Buse of the Turnstone Fearless Flyers power soccer team.

USA in World Championship – U23 Wheelchair Basketball

The United States U23 wheelchair basketball team continue to cruise along as they’ll play Spain tomorrow (Tuesday, July 13 2009) for the 2009 IWBF Under 23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Paris, France. To reach the finals the Americans won 7 straight including a 51-18 win over Australia (today) in the Semifinals and 85-29 over Canada (yesterday) in the Quarterfinals.

USA slashes Spain

Yesterday the USA Junior National Team cruised along to defeat Spain 81-40 in their opening Group B match at the 2009 IWBF Under 23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in Paris, France. This event is featuring the top 12 teams in the World with the final games being played next Tuesday, July 14, 2009. All matches are at the Halle Carpentier Sport Facility.

Team USA members hit the hardwood with injured veterans

Today The Washington Post had a great article, video and slide show that features USA Junior National Team head coach Jim Glatch along with Team USA athletes Tommie Gray and Trevon Jenifer as they visited injured veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and played wheelchair basketball with them.

The 2009 Under 23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships will be held July 6 – 14, 2009 in Paris, France at the Halle Carpentier Sport Facility. The event will feature the top 12 teams in World.

Above video is from the U.S. Jr. Team last tourney: May 19 – 23, 2009 BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, England where Austraila defeated the Americans in the Gold Medal Game.
