Power Soccer was established in Fort Wayne, IN in September of 2006. Ryan Grimes, a Ball state graduate who also played on the Ball State Power Soccer Team volunteered his time and knowledge to Turnstone start this fast growing sport. Within the first three months Power Soccer became a huge hit in this area with fifteen registered players under the affiliation of Power Soccer of Indy.
Fort Wayne currently has two teams: Turnstone Fearless Flyers and Turnstone Fantastic Flyers. Both teams have won Division 2 National Championship: Fantastic in 2008 and Fearless in 2009.
Starting the 2009-2010 the Turnstone Flyers will offer both a Division 1 and Division 2 team.

During the middle of Turnstone’s ‘Power Soccer Challenge’ November 15,2008 the games were paused to honor Laurie Williams who passed away July 9, 2007. A framed jersey In Memory of Laurie will be displayed at Turnstone with the following words:
Laurie was a valued member of the inaugural Flyers Power Soccer team. Through her determination and competitive spirit she inspired us all to reach higher. Never one to sit on the sidelines in life or in her new found sport; she always displayed a positive and supportive attitude to her teammates and everyone she met. She exemplified toughness by playing through a major tournament after suffering an injury, which she would not discuss for fear it would keep her sidelined. A True Champion, she is loved, missed and most of all… will always be remembered.
